CASTAWAY-2000 was the best thing in television EVER filmed. I cannot believe Scientists aren’t viewing the footage for analysis. Whom ever concieved this show and participated in the show should be proud of the entire event. Please make it available on DVD, we’ll buy at the very least 2 copies.

Hi,

Castaway was a brilliant show I agree. However I grew up on a remote scottish island, every day we were faced with situations like the castaways were, the only difference being that we just got on with it without all the bickering!!! That was everyday life for me growing up!

I have the 4 eps in digital format downloaded from thebox.bz and also the return to castaway 2000 from same site. there are no more eps found as yet but still searching if you have them come here and leave a message – msgbox2007@hotmail.co.uk and for god sake show the whole lot again on the BBC or release a nice big DVD set of all the footage.

We have just returned from a weeks stay on Taransay. Fantastic! Just as beautiful as you ever suspected rfrom the Castaway prog. Can’t believe there are no DVDs on sale from this series.

I interviewed for Castaway and my video clip made it on the “wall” in the opening title sequence. I still wish I got to stay on the island. It’s such a beautiful place.

Great to look back at the programme- would be interesting to see it again. I agree that it was interesting to see the dynamics of the group. It was in the early days of reality TV and did not have a load of publicity chasing idiots in it like the programmes do today.

I loved this series. I recorded it but unfortunately do not have the tapes. Hopefully BBC will one day soon give us our Castaways on DVD. Thanks for the lovely site!

Dvds are available on a site called nostalgia tv. There not brilliant quality but its a full set for £14.99
