Castaway 2000 - Location
Taransay, Outer Hebredies, Scotland. The location for the show and initially the reason for me watching the show (sorry guys!). It had been uninhabited for years, but Lion TV saw fit to use it as the location for the show. The island provided a stunning setting for the show, and continued to be the shows biggest star!

Since the show has finished, the family who own the island (the Mackay's) have started to offer the buildings on the island as rental properties. So if you fancy a stay up on the island get in touch and they will be able to sort you out. I intend to get up there myself someday! There is a website setup with info at www.visit-taransay.com.
